May 4-5, 2018 Oral Surgery Update

Oral Surgery for the General Practice! 
We are excited to have Aspire Surgical presenting.
Dr. Fullmer, Dr. Stosich, and Dr. Ryser will be presenting Oral Surgery for the General Practice. We are lucky to have them join us for this 2 days course. It will cover 16 hours of CE in Oral Surgery. The topics will cover everything from atraumatic extraction techniques, biopsy proceedures and techniques, single tooth implants, bone grafting for the general practice, and then finish up with indepth oral surgery reconstruction. This course is designed with a focus on hand on learning and will allow those attending to practice the skills hands on during the course.

Joseph Fullmer, DMD
Dr. Fullmer is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon who is dedicated to providing the best surgical practices for his patients. He achieves this goal by constantly continuing his education, receiving additional training, and practicing evidence-based dentistry and medicine.Dr. Fullmer was born and raised in the greater Salt Lake area. He attended the University of Utah and earned a bachelor’s degree in medical biology. Afterward, he attended the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. While in dental school, Dr. Fullmer’s exposure to oral surgery lead him to pursue post-graduate specialty training. He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the Cook County and Northwestern Hospitals in Chicago, Illinois.
While in his residency, Dr. Fullmer gained specialty training in wisdom teeth removal, bone grafting, IV anesthesia, dental implants, surgical treatment of oral pathology, maxillofacial trauma, corrective jaw surgery, maxillofacial reconstruction, and surgical treatment of TMJ disorders. Dr. Fullmer also has a special interest and training in arthroscopic TMJ surgery.
In his spare time, Dr. Fullmer enjoys being with his family, hiking, golfing, camping, skiing, and snowboarding.
AJ Stosich, DDS, MDDr. Stosich is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He first received his bachelor’s degree in zoology from Idaho State University. From there, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Creighton Dental School in Omaha, Nebraska, and continued his education at the University of Nebraska Medical Center School of Medicine, where he completed his MD and a residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery. During this time, Dr. Stosich also served as Chief Resident in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in addition to completing a general surgery internship. Though a one-year rotation in anesthesia, he was trained in the full management of using anesthesia in the operating room, as well as deep sedation. Dr. Stosich uses this training and experience to ensure that your surgery is as comfortable as possible. In addition to excelling at his education, Dr. Stosich received many awards and scholarships throughout his schooling and career in oral surgery. Currently, Dr. Stosich is the Division Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Riverton Hospital.

Because of his driving passion for improving others’ lives through oral surgery, Dr. Stosich is affiliated with six hospitals in the Salt Lake area, responding to trauma calls and gaining extensive experience in skeletal reconstruction of the face. His practice includes a full scope of oral and facial surgery, with specific expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom teeth removal to corrective jaw surgery and facial surgery. This expertise includes techniques for bone grafting; sinus lifts; soft tissue rejuvenation; smart liposuction for the face and neck; lifts for the brow, eyes, chin, neck, and face; and rhinoplasty.
Dr. AJ Stosich is artistically talented, a characteristic that adds to his competency as a facial surgeon. His genuine compassion and empathy for others brings the opportunity for open, frank, and respectful discussion, allowing his patients to place full trust in his knowledge, skill, and background. When he is not working, Dr. Stosich enjoys spending time with his family. He also enjoys snow skiing, water skiing, playing basketball, and golfing.
Mark Ryser, DMD, MDDr. Mark Ryser grew up in the Salt Lake area and is a second-generation oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He attended Brigham Young University for his undergraduate studies, followed by his dental training at the University of Louisville, where he graduated summa cum laude in 2001.

Dr. Ryser completed medical school in conjunction with postgraduate training at Louisiana State University in New Orleans. After receiving his Doctorate in Medicine (M.D.), he completed a surgical internship in general surgery at Charity Hospital. He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Louisiana State
Dr. Mark Ryser grew up in the Salt Lake area and is a second-generation oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He attended Brigham Young University for his undergraduate studies, followed by his dental training at the University of Louisville, where he graduated summa cum laude in 2001.
Dr. Ryser completed medical school in conjunction with postgraduate training at Louisiana State University in New Orleans. After receiving his Doctorate in Medicine (M.D.), he completed a surgical internship in general surgery at Charity Hospital. He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Louisiana State University, one of the top programs in the country, in 2007.
Dr. Ryser is currently completing certification requirements to become a diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His residency provided extensive training and exposure to all facets of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including dental implants, dentoalveolar, orthognathic and temporomandibular joint surgery, bone grafting, oral pathology, and facial cosmetic surgery.
Additionally, Dr. Ryser has received multiple awards at both national and international meetings for his research and publications in the fields of dental implants and craniofacial biology. He practices the entire scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with particular interests in dental implants. This includes: recombinant bone morphogenetic protein grafting, complex CT scan implant surgery planning and peri-implant soft tissue augmentation. Other areas of special interest include orthognathic surgery as well as facial and peri-oral cosmetic surgery.

  1. Thanks for this update. Even I am going to have the dental treatment because have some gum issues. It is very hard for me because I have never seen a dentist in a long time so freaking out now. Have found a reputed Torrance dentist and hoping for the best treatment from him.
